PUNJAB INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGY SUMMIT 2019 BRINGS TOGETHER KEY STAKE HOLDERS FROM THE REGION

Innovation is the Buzz Word in present scenario. All Businesses are following this route to keep themselves alive and buzzing. With same thought process, Government of Punjab along with Punjab chamber of commerce and industries (PCCI) recently organized Punjab Innovation and Technology Summit 2019 with the theme INNOVATE PUNJAB. The initiative turned out to be a global platform to bring a profound transformation and building innovation led eco system in the Punjab province.

Global technology giants like, Accenture IBM, etc participated along with major research institution, universities and center of excellence. Many corporate leaders,diplomats, entrepreneurs, and startup participated and brainstormed on innovative techniques to be used by various business houses with special focus on Punjab.

The Summit was inaugurated by Finance Minister of Punjab, Mr Manpreet Badal . In his address he envisioned that Punjab would soon emerge as a front runner in innovation and technological advancement in the country. Backed up by great infrastructure and industrial facilities, the young generation is really looking foward to infuse innovative ideas and techniques to take business to next level. At this point of time Innovate Punjab shall provide the right platform to brainstorm the future agenda.

Principle Secretary for Science and Technology, Sh. Rakesh Verma outlined the blue print of Mission Innovate Punjab. He focused on the point that platform like this shall be able to strengthen ties and bridge the gap between Researchers, Innovators  Industry leaders, entrepreneur and various stakeholders for building innovation ecosystem in the state.

“Innovation is the key towards building knowledge economy in the state. We at PCCI are committed to work towards betterment of the trade and industry in Punjab region. Innovate Punjab has been organized keeping in mind the same objectives. We have got great response from the summit. 550 Delegates have marked their presence during the summit. The session has been able to deliver the right content for the delegates and we really look forward to more such engaging session in the future” commented Mr. Dalip Sharma, SG, PCCI.
