The Association News, 03rd March 2026

The Thai Exhibition Association (TEA) has unveiled its forward-looking MICE Masterplan 2026–2027, setting out a strategic framework to elevate Thailand’s exhibition and business events industry onto the global stage. The roadmap will be formally presented at Thailand MICE X-Change 2026 (TMX 2026), taking place from April 29 – 30, 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre (QSNCC.)

Held under the theme “Innovation and Sustainability: Driving Thailand’s MICE Industry towards Excellence,” TMX 2026 reflects TEA’s long-term commitment to strengthening Thailand’s international competitiveness through digital transformation, sustainable practices, and industry-wide collaboration.

The third edition of TMX is expected to welcome over 4,000 delegates, feature 100 exhibitors, and facilitate more than 360 pre-arranged business matching meetings, alongside 15 high-level conference sessions and curated networking engagements. The event is anticipated to generate tangible commercial outcomes while deepening Thailand’s engagement with regional and global MICE stakeholders.

Mr. Loy Joon How, President of the Thai Exhibition Association (TEA) and General Manager of IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center said, “TMX represents more than an annual gathering of industry professionals. It is a strategic platform that reflects our collective ambition to future-proof Thailand’s MICE industry. By prioritizing digital innovation, sustainability, and global partnerships, we are reinforcing Thailand’s position as one of Asia’s most dynamic and resilient exhibition hubs. Face-to-face platforms remain essential drivers of trust, trade, and long-term business growth.”

Thailand continues to demonstrate strong sectoral momentum. The country hosted 199 B2B and B2C exhibitions in 2024, increasing to 214 exhibitions in 2025, with more than 27 million square meters of exhibition space sold, up from 25 million square meters in 2024. This sustained growth underscores Thailand’s resilience, infrastructure readiness, and its strategic role within the ASEAN economic corridor.

Dr. Duangdej Yuaikwarmdee, Director of the Exhibitions Department at the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau, affirmed TCEB’s support as strategic partner of TMX: “Thailand’s exhibitions have evolved into comprehensive business ecosystems that integrate trade, innovation, investment, and knowledge exchange. TMX plays a critical role in strengthening industry capabilities and aligning Thailand’s MICE sector with digital transformation, artificial intelligence adoption, and rapidly changing customer expectations.”

As Thailand advances its MICE Masterplan 2026–2027, TMX 2026 stands as a flagship platform demonstrating the country’s readiness to lead through innovation, sustainability, and cross-border collaboration.
