The Association News, 08 April 2026, India
Kinexin Convention Management, the operator of Yashobhoomi (India International Convention & Expo Centre), successfully hosted a large-scale international roadshow in Seoul on March 26 in collaboration with its parent organization, KINTEX—Korea’s largest state-owned exhibition and convention center. The roadshow presented a comprehensive overview of India’s rapidly growing economy, the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, and the expanding opportunities within India’s MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) industry. It also highlighted the strategic role of India’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry in driving nationwide industrial corridor development and its integration with large-scale projects such as Yashobhoomi and its surrounding district development.
The global-scale event was held at international standards and attracted over 350 C-level executives, along with approximately 50 prominent economic and business influencers and YouTubers from India and Korea. Many of these participants have subscriber bases ranging from tens of thousands to several million. The audience also included leading figures from academia, government, and industry with expertise in India-related sectors in Korea, reflecting strong and growing bilateral interest.
The program commenced with a welcome address by Min Woo Lee, followed by a keynote presentation from Phil (H.P.) Chung. His address focused on India’s economic trajectory and long-term growth outlook, strategic opportunities within the MICE industry, Yashobhoomi’s positioning as a leading global venue in South Asia, and the opportunities available for Korean companies and exhibition organizers to expand into India. The event further featured panel discussions, expert presentations on economic trends and the AX (AI Transformation) era, media engagements, and B2B consultation sessions, making it a comprehensive and highly interactive platform.
The roadshow received significant attention from major Korean media outlets, including Yonhap News Agency and Maeil Business Newspaper, reflecting strong interest in India’s growth story and Yashobhoomi’s strategic importance. Notably, many participants have already approached the organizers to request similar roadshows in Korea in the future, indicating sustained demand and continued engagement.
In his media interaction, Phil (H.P.) Chung stated that after three years of operating Yashobhoomi, the organization is now entering a phase of full-scale operations, with a strong focus on attracting and nurturing global trade exhibitions. He emphasized that the joint roadshow with KINTEX successfully showcased both the scale of the Yashobhoomi project and the vast opportunities within the Indian economy. He further noted that discussions and agreements are actively underway with leading Korean exhibition organizers such as Exporum, K-Fairs, and Messe Esang, along with several venue-owning companies, to expand into India over the next two to three years.
The roadshow also featured participation from Abhishek Gupta (Lucky), widely known as “Lucky.” Kinexin Convention Management announced that he will visit New Delhi to collaborate on a follow-up promotional campaign at Yashobhoomi. Leveraging his extensive media network and audience reach, this initiative aims to further position Yashobhoomi as India’s premier convention and exhibition venue while promoting India’s economic growth and opportunities to audiences in both countries.
The event also emphasized the strategic potential for more than 100 Korean companies to enter India and develop specialized, industry-focused international exhibitions across key sectors. It outlined both the opportunities and the challenges involved in building new exhibition ecosystems in India, particularly in alignment with the country’s ongoing industrial and economic expansion.
Yashobhoomi (India International Convention & Expo Centre) is one of India’s largest and most advanced MICE infrastructures, located in New Delhi. Operated by Kinexin Convention Management, a sister company of KINTEX, the venue is being actively positioned as a leading hub for global exhibitions, conventions, and business events in South Asia.
